Furniture with soul
For over thirty years, I have hand-built furniture for considered interiors from my Ontario workshop.
Each piece begins with responsibly sourced hardwood. Carefully chosen proportions define the form; traditional joinery ensures its integrity. The result is work that is quiet, precise, and built to endure. Commissions undertaken selectively. Serving the GTA and surrounding area.
A Return to the Slow Path
I have spent over thirty years learning the language of wood. From my workshop in Ontario, I design and build work that moves beyond the trend of the moment.
When I look at a board, I do not see lumber—I see time. The grain, the subtle shifts in tone, and the quiet irregularities tell the story of a living tree. My responsibility as a craftsman is to carry that story forward.
Each commission begins with carefully sourced, sustainable hardwood. From there, it is shaped through traditional joinery, patient refinement, and a deep respect for proportion. I work deliberately—not out of nostalgia, but because precision, balance, and integrity cannot be rushed.
In a world of mass production and disposable interiors, I build furniture meant to endure—objects that are not only functional, but deeply considered. Forms that settle into a space and feel as though they have always belonged.
To commission this work is to choose permanence: natural materials that age gracefully, surfaces that invite the hand, and proportions designed to bring quiet into a room.
I believe that when we surround ourselves with objects made with intention, our homes become grounding spaces that restore us.

Portfolio

I take on a limited number of projects each year to ensure each piece receives the time and attention it deserves.
Discovery & Design
Every project begins with a conversation — in person or by video. We discuss your space, how the piece will be used, proportions, material preferences, and budget range.
Following this discussion, I prepare a detailed design proposal outlining dimensions, timber selection, construction approach, timeline, and a fixed quote.
A design fee of $300.00 is required to begin this phase. The fee is credited toward the final balance should you proceed with the build.
The Build
Once the design is approved and a 50% deposit is received, the materials are sourced and your piece enters my build schedule.
Each project is constructed in solid hardwood using time-tested joinery and carefully considered detailing. Surfaces are finished to highlight the natural character of the wood and to age gracefully over time.
Throughout the build, you will receive periodic photo updates from the workshop so you can see the work as it progresses.
Typical lead time is 8–14 weeks, depending on scope and my current schedule.
Delivery & Placement
For major pieces within 1.5 hours of Kitchener, Ontario, I personally oversee delivery and installation. Furniture built with care deserves to be placed with the same attention.
For clients outside the region, shipping arrangements can be coordinated as needed.
Investment
Most commissions begin in the mid four-figure range. Final pricing reflects scale, material selection, and complexity.
Begin the Conversation
If you feel aligned with this approach, I invite you to get in touch with a brief description of your project, location, and timeline.
Commissions
I review each inquiry personally and respond within 2–3 business days.
